Ukhrul District HQ celebrates the 73^rd Independence day 2019 at Bakshi ground, Ukhrul. Shri Losii Dikho, Hon’ble Minister (PHED, Printing and Stationery) hoisted the National flag and gave salute to the March Past contingents along with Shri Worngam Ningshen, IPS/Superintendent of Police, Ukhrul District.

Altogether 55 contingents took part in the March Past including various schools from the District. The parade was commanded by Shri Josiah T. Pamei, MPS/SDPO Ukhrul.

Appreciation Certificates were also given to 43 officials/staffs from various departments of the district for their commendable services. Also around 10 red blankets were presented.

Cultural shows were presented by the students of Sacred Hr. Sec. School, Ukhrul and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ukhrul. Talent show from LAES, Ukhrul, Zumba dance by Ukhrul District Builder’s Association and Band Party display by 27^th Assam Rifles gave a mesmerizing performance.
