District Election Office

In the words of the famous former American President, Abraham Lincoln, democracy is defined as the government “of the people, by the people, and for the people”.

The Election Department Ukhrul, in cooperation with many other departments and organizations conducts the election to the Legislative Assembly of the State and the House of the People from time to time under the supervision of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur and the Election Commission of India.

Apart from this, the department also conducts regular summary revision of electoral rolls in coordination with the EROs, Sub Divisional Officers/AERO, BLOs and various other stakeholders of the district. The Department strives to educate and enroll the eligible members of the public through various outreach programs such as the SVEEP, Electoral Literacy Clubs and others such as the NYK. Round the year facility to enroll and others for the electoral roll are provided by this department for the public.

You can apply online or offline by visiting the Voter Registration and Facilitation Centre in the office.

For Offline application, please follow the following guidelines:

  1. Step 1: Ready your documents:
    1. Color photo graph: without glasses, without head coverings, straight Face with white background.
    2. Age proof Certificate.
    3. Resident proof certificate.
  2. Step 2: Bring the above documents to the Voter Registration and Facilitation center at and get a Form 6 and submit the filled-up form along with phone number.
  3. Step 3: Turn Up for hearing if you receive call up for hearing date at the designated location.

For Online application:

  1. Step 1: Please scan and keep ready your documents as listed in the Step 1 for Offline application.
  2. Step 2: Log in to www.nvsp.in
  3. Step 3: Click the Apply new registration tab
  4. Step 7: Please choose Form 6 and Start to fill up the necessary fields.
  5. Step 8: Please use a single dot (.) in the fields of regional language if you are not familiar with the script of the regional language.
  6. Step 9: Press the submit button after the complete fill up of the form.

For Offline application, please follow the following guidelines:

  1. Step 1: Please collect Form 8 from the VRFC at our office.
  2. Step 2: Please fill up the details and submit to our office for necessary action.

For online application,

  1. Step 1: Please log in to www.nvsp.in
  2. Step 2: Please click the correction tab and after duly filling up the form press the submit button.

Please use a single dot (.) for the fields for regional language if not familiar with the script.

  1. Step 1: Please collect Form 7 from the VRFC at our office.
  2. Step 2: Please fill up the details and submit to our office for necessary action.

For online application,

  1. Step 1: Please log in to www.nvsp.in
  2. Step 2: Please click the deletion tab and after duly filling up the form press the submit button.
  3. Step 3: Please use a single dot (.) for the fields for regional language if not familiar with the script.

For Change from one AC to another AC:
Please use Form 6 (Offline or Online) and fill up the part IV(four) of the form along with the details of the previous enrollment.

For Change of Polling Station:
Please use Form 8A (Offline or Online) and submit to the office after duly filled up.

For change of AC:
Please use Form 6 by filling up part 4.
